Davido and Omah Lay’s “With You” Tops Spotify’s Most Shared Nigerian Songs of 2025

David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and Omah Lay’s collaboration, “With You,” has emerged as the most shared Nigerian song of 2025, according to Spotify’s 2025 Wrapped data. The track led in forwards and reposts across private and public digital spaces, highlighting music’s role as a social connector in Nigeria.

Spotify noted that the popularity of “With You” reflects how Nigerians use music as a way to express emotions and connect with others without words. Rema’s “Fun” came in second, dominating Snapchat and Instagram, while Burna Boy’s “Love” ranked third, circulating widely on social media and messaging platforms.

Faith-based tracks also made the list, with Lawrence Oyor’s “Favour” at fourth and Gaise Baba and Lawrence Oyor’s “No Turning Back II” at fifth, spreading mainly through WhatsApp groups and SMS for spiritual encouragement.

Spotify highlighted that collaborative playlists, blends, and “friends mix” features have turned music sharing into a communal ritual. Jam sessions in Nigeria increased by 145 percent from 2024, with friends, couples, crews, and workplaces using real-time listening to bond.

Industry observers said the trend shows Nigerians share music to express identity, create shared experiences, uplift others, and foster a sense of belonging. As Spotify concluded, “Music is a social glue, a mirror of mood, a bridge across private and public spaces, and a thread weaving individuals into community.”
