Dembele, Bonmati shine as FIFA hosts 2025 Best Awards in Doha

The global football community converged on Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday night as FIFA staged the 2025 edition of The Best Awards to celebrate outstanding performances in world football.

Paris Saint-Germain winger Ousmane Dembele emerged as the Best FIFA Men’s Player, while Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati was named Best FIFA Women’s Player for the third consecutive year.

England’s Lionesses enjoyed notable success at the ceremony, with Sarina Wiegman winning the Best FIFA Women’s Coach award and Hannah Hampton clinching the Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper honour.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League-winning manager, Luis Enrique, was crowned Best FIFA Men’s Coach, further underlining his impressive season with the French club.

In other categories, Argentina’s Santiago Montiel claimed the FIFA Puskas Award, while Mexico’s Lizbeth Ovalle won the newly introduced FIFA Marta Award for her spectacular reverse scorpion kick. The FIFA Fair Play Award went to Andreas Harlass-Neuking.

The annual awards recognise players, coaches and officials who have made exceptional contributions to football over the past year, with winners selected through a combination of votes from national team coaches, captains, journalists and fans.
