Lokoja — The Kogi State Government has applauded Mangal Cement Company for donating three security vans to support ongoing efforts to strengthen security across the state.
The Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, gave the commendation in a statement issued in Lokoja.
Fanwo described the donation as timely and impactful, noting that it aligns with the state government’s broader strategy of equipping security agencies and vigilante groups with operational vehicles to ensure a safer environment.
“We believe the three brand-new vans will go a long way toward supporting the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance security and safeguard the lives and property of our residents,” he said.
According to him, the gesture by Mangal Cement Company — one of the leading industrial firms in Kogi — reflects a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and a willingness to partner with government in addressing critical security challenges.
He added that the vehicles would significantly enhance the operational capacity of security personnel as they work tirelessly to maintain peace and order across the state.
Fanwo urged other private sector organisations, business leaders, and stakeholders to emulate Mangal Cement’s example by supporting the government’s security initiatives.
“Through this shared responsibility and collaborative action, we can continue to advance the security, development, and collective well-being of our people,” he said.
