A married woman, Love Thomas, on Monday dragged her husband, Joshua, before an Upper Customary Court sitting in Kaduna over alleged abandonment and domestic violence. Representing the complainant, lawyer Victoria Omajawu asked the court to dissolve the marriage on grounds of abandonment. She also prayed the court to restrain the defendant from threatening or disturbing her client’s peace and tranquillity. The defendant, however, was absent during the proceedings. Presiding Judge Patience Musa adjourned the case until October 14 for hearing.
