UNILAG Graduates 2,097 Students from Engineering, Law and Management Sciences

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) on Wednesday graduated a total of 2,097 students from its Faculties of Engineering, Law and Management Sciences during its ongoing 2025 convocation ceremonies.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, disclosed this at UNILAG’s 56th Convocation Ceremonies, noting that the institution would confer degrees on a total of 16,506 students across all faculties.

According to her, the Faculty of Engineering produced 613 graduates, with 89 students earning first class honours. She added that 321 students graduated from the Faculty of Law, including three first class graduates.

Ogunsola further stated that the Faculty of Management Sciences graduated 1,163 students, out of which 180 made first class honours.

“In total, there were 272 first class, 1,108 second class upper, 580 second class lower, 131 third class and six pass degrees,” she said.

The vice-chancellor explained that while students from the Faculties of Engineering, Law and Management Sciences were admitted to their degrees in the morning session, those from the Basic Medical Sciences, Basic Clinical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Health Professions, Pharmacy and the Distance Learning Institute would be admitted in the afternoon.

Ogunsola also disclosed that the university would confer honorary degrees on two distinguished Nigerians in recognition of their exemplary service and contributions to national development.
