APC Enrols 70,000 New Members in Yobe

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has recorded a significant increase in its membership base in Yobe State, with more than 70,000 people registered through its ongoing electronic membership drive across the state’s 17 local government areas.

The disclosure was made by the party’s state chairman, Alhaji Muhammadu Gadaka, while addressing journalists after a stakeholders’ meeting held in Damaturu on Wednesday.

According to him, data obtained from the APC e-registration platform showed that Yobe currently ranks second in membership strength among states in the North-East region.

Gadaka noted that despite the progress recorded so far, the party remained determined to attract even more members before the registration exercise concludes.

He explained that the stakeholders’ meeting was convened to engage party officials at various levels on strategies to intensify mobilisation efforts across the state.

The APC chairman also emphasised the need for unity, loyalty and dedication among members, describing these values as crucial to consolidating the party’s structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He further assured party faithful that the APC would continue to promote fairness, equity and inclusive leadership, while ensuring that members are actively involved in all party programmes and activities.
