TMDK Group Distributes Ramadan Food Aid to 15,000 Vulnerable Residents in Zamfara

An international business firm, TMDK Group, has distributed more than 15,000 Ramadan welfare packages to residents of Talata Mafara Local Government Area in Zamfara State.

Speaking during the distribution exercise in Talata Mafara on Sunday, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the group, Alhaji Amadu Sule, said the initiative was designed to cushion the impact of prevailing economic challenges and strengthen resilience at the grassroots level.

Represented by the company’s General Manager, Alhaji Sa’adu Aliyu-Modaci, Sule explained that the food items were targeted at less-privileged and vulnerable members of the community during the holy month of Ramadan.

He said beneficiaries were carefully selected from various communities across the local government area and included widows, orphans, low-income families, unemployed youths, women and other economically disadvantaged individuals.

Each beneficiary received one bag of rice and one bag of maize flour. In total, 7,000 bags of rice and more than 10,000 bags of maize flour were distributed.

Sule noted that the outreach, which began in previous years with only 100 bags of food items, has expanded significantly due to sustained commitment to community welfare.

He described Ramadan as a period of mercy, sacrifice and compassion, urging those who are blessed to extend support to others. He also expressed appreciation to traditional rulers, religious leaders and community representatives for their continued support of the initiative.
