Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has expressed confidence that a renewed mandate for President Bola Tinubu in 2027 would further strengthen development efforts across states and local government councils nationwide.
Radda spoke on Monday during an endorsement gathering organised by the Concerned Katsina APC Stakeholders in support of his second-term bid and that of President Tinubu.
The event attracted prominent party figures, including serving senators, members of the House of Representatives and the Katsina State House of Assembly, local government chairmen, former governors Aminu Masari and Ibrahim Shema, as well as traditional leaders and other stakeholders, who collectively declared their support.
The governor noted that since President Tinubu assumed office, consistent release of funds to states and local governments had enhanced their capacity to execute developmental projects and improve service delivery at the grassroots.
According to him, while critics continue to cast doubts on past and present administrations, the priority of his government remains policies and actions that translate into tangible development for citizens.
Radda said residents of Katsina were satisfied with the progress recorded so far, stressing that the achievements were largely driven by increased financial support from the Federal Government to subnational governments.
He added that the endorsement would further motivate his administration to intensify development efforts, assuring supporters that their confidence would not be taken for granted.
Earlier, Chairman of the Concerned APC Stakeholders, Sen. Ibrahim Ida, said the endorsement was based on the leadership qualities demonstrated by both Tinubu and Radda, which he said had positively impacted the welfare of citizens over the past two and a half years.
Ida urged voters to mobilise massively for the re-election of the president and the governor in the 2027 general elections.
Also speaking, Deputy Senate President, Sen. Barau Jibril, described Radda as one of the most industrious governors in the country, based on his personal assessment from visits across the federation, adding that the endorsement was well deserved.
He noted that the APC currently governs 29 states, attributing the party’s growing acceptance to reforms and initiatives introduced by President Tinubu to enhance living standards and national development.
In his remarks, APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, applauded the increasing influx of members from other political parties into the APC, commending Governor Radda for visible improvements in infrastructure and social services across Katsina State.
He encouraged the governor to sustain the momentum to ensure broader and more inclusive development across the state.
