The Tinubu Media Force (TMF) has congratulated Mr Seyi Tinubu on his installation as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade.
The chieftaincy title was conferred on Tinubu during a traditional ceremony held on Sunday.
Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, is an entrepreneur and business executive born on Oct. 13, 1985.
The title Okanlomo of Yorubaland, which translates to “beloved child,” is regarded as a prestigious Yoruba honour, symbolising affection, honour and significance within the Yoruba race.
In a statement issued in Lagos, TMF National Coordinator, Mr Gbenga Abiola, described the installation as a recognition of Tinubu’s character, service and leadership.
According to Abiola, the honour reflects courage, commitment to humanity and years of quiet sacrifice, particularly in youth development.
“This recognition goes beyond ceremony. It affirms his integrity, humility and the respect he commands across communities,” he said.
Abiola noted that Tinubu’s philanthropic and community engagements were carried out without publicity, adding that his support for vulnerable groups had earned him trust and admiration.
He described Tinubu as a disciplined and people-centred leader whose leadership style is rooted in empathy, listening and responsibility.
Abiola also commended Tinubu for remaining grounded despite his background, saying he embodies strong family values, cultural respect and national consciousness.
He offered prayers for wisdom and strength as Tinubu assumes the new role, expressing confidence that he would continue to promote youth empowerment and national unity.
Abiola further congratulated former Gov. Abdulaziz Yari and his wife on their recognition as Obaloyin of Yorubaland.
