The Miss Luxury Foundation has announced plans to host the inaugural edition of the ‘Miss Luxury Pageant 2025’ on Nov. 4 in Lagos, describing the event as a celebration of elegance, excellence, and purposeful leadership among young women.
The Founder and Executive Director of the foundation, Dr. Edidiong Udoidiong, said the event, themed “Where Beauty, Purpose and Power Unite,” would spotlight advocacy, leadership, and social impact while redefining traditional beauty standards.
According to her, the initiative is more than just a beauty competition but a movement designed to empower women to lead and inspire others.
“The pageant is being organised in partnership with the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, and the United Towns Agency,” she said.
Other partners include the United Nations, International Commission for Peace and Good Governance, and The Nest Resource Centre.
Udoidiong said 37 contestants—one from each Nigerian state and the FCT—would participate in the contest, which eliminates traditional restrictions such as height and size to focus instead on purpose, advocacy, and leadership potential.
“This is a historic moment for Nigeria’s pageant industry, as it opens the door for women driven by vision and purpose, regardless of background,” she said.
She also highlighted the recently unveiled ‘Miss Migration Crown’ by NCFRMI, which will empower a young woman to serve as an ambassador for safe migration and a voice for displaced persons.
“The Miss Migration crown comes with a $70,000 cash prize, a luxury car, ambassadorial and endorsement deals, and mentorship opportunities,” Udoidiong said.
Other titles such as Miss Humanitarian Queen and Face of Renewed Hope will receive $50,000 and $20,000 respectively, alongside luxury prizes and career-boosting opportunities.
She explained that the foundation partners with key institutions to promote safe and legal migration through nationwide advocacy, school outreach, and community-based campaigns.
Beyond glamour, she said, the Miss Luxury Pageant represents a platform dedicated to empowering women through visibility, advocacy, and leadership.
“We don’t just celebrate beauty; we amplify purpose, resilience, and women’s voices. Contestants receive real-world training in brand development, advocacy, and leadership to prepare them for global impact,” she added.
Udoidiong revealed that an NGO had offered free registration sponsorship for the first 20 contestants. The overall winner will receive a $100,000 cash prize, a brand-new luxury car and home, and a five-year modelling contract with international exposure at New York and Paris Fashion Weeks.
The foundation’s Publicity Lead, Eze Okocha Eze, said the growing number of institutional partnerships reflects a shared commitment to uplifting women and fostering social change.
“Each collaboration goes beyond endorsement — it represents a united vision to empower and amplify the voices of young women across Nigeria,” he said.
He added that the upcoming grand finale will attract top government officials, industry leaders, celebrities, and sponsors, with contestant registration still open at www.missluxury.org.
“With its blend of glamour, advocacy, and purpose, the Miss Luxury Pageant aims to redefine beauty standards and transform the crown into a symbol of leadership and social transformation across Africa,” Eze stated.
