A Badagry Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Thursday remanded 33-year-old Ibrahim Lasisi at the Badagry Correctional Centre for allegedly belonging to a secret society.
Chief Magistrate Nurudeen Layeni, who did not take Lasisi’s plea, directed that the case file be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for advice. The case was adjourned to February 19 for mention.
Lasisi faces a three-count charge of belonging to an unlawful society, threatening life, and breach of peace. Prosecutor ASP Edet Ekpo told the court that the offences allegedly occurred on December 13, 2025, at No 20, Jejelaye Street, Ajangbadi, Lagos.
According to Ekpo, Lasisi was a member of the unlawful society known as “Aye Confraternity” and allegedly harassed the complainant, Ms Serifat Lasisi, threatening to kill her, thereby acting in a manner likely to breach the peace. The offences contravene Sections 42, 56, and 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
