A landlord, Alhaji Abbas Abdulrahim, on Monday asked an Upper Customary Court in Kaduna State to order the eviction of his tenant, Lawal Saleh, and recover nine months’ rent arrears totalling ₦325,000.
Representing the complainant, Mrs. Kehinde Oyeniran told the court that the tenant should vacate the property located at No. 20 Nuhu Bamalli Close, off Governor Road, citing persistent default in payment.
Despite being served through substituted service, the defendant was absent in court.
Presiding Judge Patience Musa adjourned the case to October 2 for hearing.
