Actor and filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has released the official trailer for his highly anticipated Netflix series, Anikulapo: The Ghoul Awakens, offering a glimpse into a gripping story of power, love, loyalty, and survival.
The six-part series is a sequel to the award-winning film Anikulapo and is set to premiere on Netflix on January 30.
Announcing the release, Afolayan described the series as a journey where power comes at a cost. According to him, the new chapter takes viewers from the Oyo Empire to foreign lands, where love is tested, alliances are shaken, and survival becomes the ultimate prize.

The story follows Saro, a man who returns from death with the extraordinary ability to resurrect the dead, as he navigates dangerous terrains and faces life-altering challenges.
Filmed in Ghana in collaboration with the National Film Authority, the series features a diverse cast including Okusaga Adeoluwa, Kiekie, Antar Laniyan, and Saidi Balogun.
