The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Jigawa State has called on its newly promoted officers to demonstrate stronger commitment and dedication in the discharge of their duties.
The Sector Commander, Umar Mas’udu, made the appeal on Sunday while decorating the officers in Dutse. His remarks were conveyed in a statement by the corps’ spokesperson, Yahaya Ibrahim.
Mas’udu explained that the promotions were in line with the directive of the FRSC Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed. He stressed that elevation in rank comes with added responsibilities, highlighting the need for professionalism, discipline, and integrity.
“Every promotion comes with greater authority, responsibility, and opportunity, which demand accountability,” the commander said. “You must understand your new roles and work towards strengthening your commitment and productivity. Consider your elevation as part of the Corps Marshal’s vision to enhance performance.”
He commended the Corps Marshal for introducing development initiatives, particularly in the area of personnel welfare and career advancement.
A total of 33 officers were promoted, including nine Deputy Route Commanders (DRCs), several Assistant Corps Commanders (ACCs), and 24 Marshals.
