Paris Saint-Germain secured a place in the UEFA Champions League final on Wednesday after holding Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw in a tense semifinal clash.
The French champions progressed with a 6-5 aggregate victory, booking a second straight appearance in Europe’s biggest club competition final.
PSG made a bright start to the encounter, taking the lead just three minutes into the match through Ousmane Dembele.
The forward finished calmly after receiving a well-worked cutback from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to give the hosts an early advantage.
Bayern Munich controlled large periods of possession and pushed aggressively for goals, but PSG’s defence stood firm throughout most of the contest.
The German side eventually found an equaliser in stoppage time when Harry Kane scored late in the game, although the effort proved insufficient to force extra time or overturn the aggregate deficit.
With the result, PSG advanced to the final where they will meet Arsenal on May 30 in Budapest, as the French club continues its pursuit of another European title.
