A pro-Tinubu political group has provided financial and food support to leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina as part of its Ramadan outreach initiative.
The group, Tinubu/Dikko Assured (TDA 2027), on Wednesday distributed ₦11 million in cash and 95 bags of rice to party executives across the state. The event was held in Katsina and targeted party officials and stakeholders observing the holy month.
Founder and Director-General of the group, Umar Ahmad-Zayyad, said the exercise would be overseen by members of the TDA State Steering Committee to ensure transparency and proper coordination. Represented by the State Coordinator, Khalil Aminu, he explained that the gesture reflects the group’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure and support committed members.
He maintained that the APC’s structure in Katsina Local Government Area and across the state remains solid, noting that mobilisation efforts are already underway ahead of future political activities.
Ahmad-Zayyad described the intervention as part of a broader plan to promote unity within the party and deepen grassroots engagement under the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 initiative. He added that Ramadan, a season associated with sacrifice and compassion, provided an opportunity to ease the financial strain on party officials and their families.
According to details shared at the event, each of the 12 wards in Katsina Local Government Area received five bags of rice and ₦500,000.
The Katsina Local Government executives were allocated 15 bags of rice and ₦2 million to support administrative and welfare needs.
At the state level, party executives received 20 bags of rice along with ₦3 million as part of the overall assistance package.
Beneficiaries commended the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful, and reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s leadership at both state and national levels.
