Arsenal Crowned Champions After City Slip Against Bournemouth

Manchester City’s hopes of retaining the Premier League title came to an end after a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.

The result confirmed Arsenal as league champions, ending the North London club’s 22-year wait for the Premier League crown.

Bournemouth took control of the contest through a stunning effort from Eli Junior Kroupi, whose goal proved decisive in denying City maximum points.

Although Erling Haaland scored deep into stoppage time, the late equaliser was not enough to keep City’s title challenge alive.

The draw moved Pep Guardiola’s side to 78 points, leaving them four points behind Arsenal with only one match remaining in the season.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, extended their unbeaten run to 17 matches and also secured qualification for European competition for the first time in the club’s history.
