Abiodun earns praise for rebuilding Adesan-Abaren road in Mowe

Residents of Adesan and Abaren communities in Mowe, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State have expressed gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for rehabilitating the once deplorable Adesan Abaren road.

In separate interviews on Saturday in Mowe, the residents said they were impressed with the quality of the work being executed by the contractor.

They, however, appealed for the project to be completed quickly so that the benefits could extend fully to the Abaren axis.

Mr. Johnson Adetide, a 50-year-old civil servant, recalled that previous administrations had failed to deliver on longstanding promises to rehabilitate the road.

He praised Governor Abiodun for intervening, adding that the reconstruction would help stimulate economic activities in the area.

Adetide also acknowledged the efforts of Mr. Damilola Soneye, the lawmaker representing Obafemi Owode in the Ogun State House of Assembly, for consistently advocating for the road project during legislative sessions.

Another resident, Mrs. Ruth Babalola, a food vendor in Abaren, thanked the state government for bringing what she described as real dividends of democracy closer to the grassroots.

She urged the governor to ensure that contractors are fully mobilised to complete the road to the Abaren end, noting that the progress so far had encouraged many residents to resume work on previously abandoned buildings.

Similarly, Alhaji Bode Are, a landlord in the community, said the project had brought relief to residents, especially during the rainy season when the road was almost impassable.

He pointed out that the section leading to Adesan, where the only public secondary school and a primary health centre are located, had already improved access for many families.

On his part, lawmaker Damilola Soneye commended the governor for living up to his campaign promises and assured constituents of continued quality representation.

Soneye also stressed that the present administration remains committed to extending developmental projects to all parts of Ogun State.
