The Kano State Police Command has recovered a suspected stolen Toyota Hilux and arrested a 35-year-old woman in connection with the incident.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday in Kano by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa.
According to the statement, the vehicle — a Toyota Hilux with registration number GWA 998 AR — was reported stolen on September 29 from Ikeja Road in Fagge Local Government Area.
Kiyawa explained that the suspect was arrested along Airport Road in Nassarawa Local Government Area, while allegedly attempting to conceal the vehicle and transport it to Niger Republic.
He added that efforts are ongoing to apprehend a male accomplice who is believed to have supplied the vehicle to the arrested suspect.
The Command praised the officers who participated in the operation and expressed gratitude to members of the public for their continued support. Residents were also urged to promptly report any suspicious activities to the police to enhance community safety.
