The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has organized a route march to enhance the physical resilience and mental well-being of its personnel, aiming to improve overall service delivery.The FCT Commandant, Mr. Olusola Odumosu, stated that a primary objective of the exercise was to ensure all officers maintain a high level of physical fitness. He emphasized that the activity was designed to foster mental agility, build resilience, and strengthen teamwork, all of which are crucial for the effective performance of their duties.“There is a need for us to take our health very seriously because health is wealth. This is for physical agility, the fitness of my personnel, and operational readiness. To be rugged, you need to keep fit,” Commandant Odumosu said. He further noted that the initiative aligns with globally accepted standards for paramilitary and military organizations, ensuring the corps remains at peak performance.The Commandant added that the route march is part of a continuous commitment to discipline and self-improvement, preparing personnel to confidently confront emerging security challenges.He commended the participants for their enthusiasm and determination during the exercise.Concluding with a stern warning, Commandant Odumosu issued a clear message to criminals and vandals operating within the FCT, urging them to vacate the territory. He affirmed that the Corps is intensifying efforts to ensure their arrest and prosecution.“This is to let criminals watching us right now know that they have very little time left to relocate from the FCT. We are ready to take the war against vandals to their doorsteps, and it is only a matter of time before we apprehend them,” the Commandant declared.
