NYSC Cautions Corps Members on Security Awareness, Safety Compliance

Osogbo, April 13, 2026 — The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has advised prospective corps members posted to Osun State to remain security conscious and strictly observe all safety instructions during the three-week orientation programme.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Osun State NYSC Coordinator, Ita Kubiangha, and made available to journalists in Osogbo on Monday.

He cautioned participants to stay alert throughout the exercise and maintain a high level of discipline and responsibility during their stay in camp.

Kubiangha also called on parents, guardians, and members of the public to support corps members as they begin this important phase of national service.

He explained that the orientation course is structured to prepare participants through activities such as paramilitary drills, leadership development sessions, and other training designed to promote unity, discipline, and self-reliance.

According to him, the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course is scheduled to begin on April 24, adding that all prospective corps members are expected to fully comply with all official guidelines.

He further urged stakeholders to cooperate with the scheme to ensure the smooth conduct and successful completion of the orientation programme.
