The Kano State Government, in partnership with the Federal Government and key development agencies, is set to host the 2025 World Nutrition Day celebration on Thursday.
The event is designed to promote healthy eating habits and raise public awareness on nutrition, in line with the United Nations’ global observance.
Announcing the initiative in a statement issued on Wednesday, the Kano State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Alhaji Musa Shanono, said the programme would educate residents on the benefits of consuming balanced and nutritious meals.
He noted that the celebration would feature an exhibition of locally made food products and nutrition-focused items, creating a platform for stakeholders to share ideas on optimising indigenous food resources.
Shanono urged residents, especially youths and families, to take part in the event, reiterating the government’s strong commitment to advancing nutrition and public health across the state.
