President Bola Tinubu has described the passing of Mr. Herbert Wigwe, family members and Mr. Abimbola Ogunbanjo as an overwhelming tragedy that is shocking beyond comprehension.
Tinubu stated this while expressing shock and deep distress on receiving official reports confirming the passing of Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings Plc, and the Group Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, Ogunbanjo.
Accountable Nigeria recalls that Wigwe, the Founder of HOW Foundation, his wife, son and Ogunbanjo were on board the ill-fated helicopter that crashed in California, United States on Friday.
President Tinubu, through a statement on Sunday by his spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale condoles with the Wigwe and Ogunbanjo families, the business community, and all those impacted by the harrowing incident.
He prays for the peaceful repose of the departed and asks God Almighty to comfort the multitude of Nigerians who are grieving and the families of the deceased at this deeply agonizing moment.
