Tinubu Mourns Ndidi’s Father, Describes Death as Tragic Loss

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep condolences to Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi, over the death of his father, Mr Sunday Ndidi.

In a condolence message released on Wednesday in Abuja, the President described the loss as tragic and profoundly saddening.

Mr Sunday Ndidi reportedly died in a road accident on Tuesday in Umunede, near Agbor, Delta State.

Commiserating with the Ndidi family, Tinubu said he shared in the pain of Wilfred Ndidi and other relatives, noting the strong bond between the footballer and his late father.

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of Sunday Ndidi. I share in the grief of his family, friends and associates, particularly Wilfred Ndidi, who regarded his father as a mentor and guide,” the President said.

Tinubu described the late Ndidi as a man whose humble background and integrity left a lasting impact on those around him.

“There is no doubt that Sunday Ndidi’s modest beginnings and honesty inspired many who looked up to him,” he added.

The President prayed that God would grant comfort to the bereaved family and eternal rest to the soul of the departed.
