The Ekiti State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his victory in the recently concluded governorship election in the state.
The message was contained in a statement jointly signed by the state Chairman, Qozeem Oladapo, and Secretary, Bisi Ogunleye, on Monday in Ado-Ekiti.
The association attributed the governor’s landslide victory to what it described as his notable performance during his first term in office.
SWAN noted that the administration recorded significant progress across key sectors of the state’s economy, with particular emphasis on sports development.
It praised the governor’s achievements, especially in promoting sporting activities and improving the state’s sports infrastructure.
According to the association, the results achieved by the administration contributed greatly to the widespread support that secured the governor’s re-election.
The group prayed for continued wisdom, good health and guidance for the governor as he continues to lead the state.
SWAN also commended the Technical Adviser on Sports Development to the Governor, Olusola Osetoba, for her support and contributions to the growth of sports in the state.
