Southern Kaduna Emir Advocates Peace Through Badminton Event

The Emir of Jema’a, Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu, has said that sporting activities remain an effective instrument for fostering peace, unity and harmonious coexistence among communities in Southern Kaduna.

He made the remark on Friday after taking part in a badminton match held as part of activities for the ongoing Southern Kaduna Festival in Kafanchan.

The traditional ruler noted that sports provide a platform for people from diverse backgrounds to interact, build relationships and strengthen social cohesion.

He added that such activities also help reduce tension while encouraging teamwork, especially among young people.

Expressing his delight, the emir said participation in the event reflected his belief in using sports to promote unity and healthy living.

He also commended the organisers of the festival for sustaining initiatives aimed at strengthening social harmony and cultural integration in the region.

According to him, the festival continues to serve as an important platform for showcasing cultural heritage while promoting peaceful coexistence among communities.
