Rep. Oseni Says Tinubu’s Reforms Are Delivering Results

Ibadan, June 23, 2026 – A member of the House of Representatives representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Remi Oseni, has expressed confidence that the policy reforms introduced by President Bola Tinubu are beginning to produce measurable benefits for the country.

Oseni made the remarks on Tuesday while speaking with traders and party supporters at a stakeholders’ meeting held in Ibadan.

According to him, while Nigeria is still on the path to full economic recovery, the administration has made notable progress in several key sectors, laying a foundation for sustainable growth.

He noted that emerging economic indicators point to improved performance and increasing confidence among investors.

The lawmaker urged citizens to remain optimistic, saying the reforms would deliver even greater benefits in the years ahead.

Oseni, who is contesting for the Oyo South Senatorial District seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said the gathering was organised to strengthen the party’s grassroots network and develop strategies for electoral success across the district.

He explained that the meeting also served as a platform to engage residents, especially traders, on their welfare concerns and discuss challenges affecting both the party and the wider Oyo State political landscape.

“We met with traders across markets within Oyo South Senatorial District to hear their concerns and explore ways of improving their welfare.

“We also examined practical solutions to the challenges confronting them both as individuals and as market leaders.

“The engagement was equally aimed at sharing our vision of delivering one million votes for President Tinubu, a commitment I have consistently championed over the past three years.

“Our message has remained focused, deliberate and unwavering,” he said.

Oseni reiterated the APC’s commitment to ensuring that citizens continue to benefit from democratic governance through people-oriented policies and programmes.

He stressed that the welfare of his constituents remains a top priority and called for greater dedication among party members as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.

“The President’s reforms may not produce instant results, but anyone familiar with governance will acknowledge the significant milestones already achieved.

“In the education sector, the student loan scheme and other reforms have expanded access to higher education and eased admission processes.

“Tax reforms are also helping to improve the business environment.

“The removal of fuel subsidy has increased resources available to state governments, enabling them to meet salary obligations and undertake developmental projects.

“In the health sector, initiatives such as free cancer screening, subsidised treatment programmes and support for farmers through the distribution of agricultural inputs are already making an impact,” he said.

He maintained that the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda was carefully designed to address longstanding challenges and was gradually achieving its objectives.

Oseni further appealed for unity among party faithful, encouraging continuous grassroots engagement to strengthen support for the government and its programmes ahead of the 2027 polls.
