The Police on Thursday, arraigned a 34- year old employee, Oluwaseun Obisesan, before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing N12 million from his employer.
The defendant, an admission officer with SAJ – PONTE Wealth Limited, was charged with stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecuting counsel, Sgt. Akeem Akinloye, alleged that the defendant, being an admission officer of the company stole N12 million and converted it to his own use.
Akinloye said that the defendant commited the offence at Saj – Ponte wealth Ltd, Challenge, Ibadan, between March 2024 and Aug. 2025.
He said that the offence contravened the provision of Section 383 (2f) and punishable under Section 390 (6) of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Olabisi Ogunkanmi, admitted the defendant to N5 million bail with two sureties in like sum.
Ogunkanmi said that one of sureties must own a landed property, while the second sureties must be a blood relation to the defendant.
She, thereafter, adjourned the matter untill Dec. 12, for hearing.
