PDP Kebbi Re-elects Usman Bello-Suru as Chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State has re-elected Alhaji Usman Bello-Suru as its chairman, along with other executive members, to steer the party’s affairs for another four years.

The state congress, which drew delegates from all 21 local government areas, was held in the presence of party stakeholders and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Announcing the outcome, Dr. Mukhtar Lugga, Chairman of the State Congress Committee, described the exercise as peaceful, transparent, and in line with electoral guidelines. He confirmed that 38 other officers were also elected to serve on the party’s executive council.

In his acceptance remarks, Bello-Suru expressed gratitude to party members for their trust and pledged to unite and reposition the PDP in Kebbi.

“We shall work as one family to reconcile differences, strengthen our structures, and ensure the PDP takes its rightful place in Kebbi politics,” he said.

Former PDP governorship candidate, General Aminu Bande (rtd.), congratulated the newly elected officers, urging them to promote unity and inclusiveness as the party prepares for future contests.

Some of the executives returned to office include Hussaini Abdullahi-Raha as Deputy Chairman and Abubakar Bawa-Kalgo as Secretary. Others are Haruna Mai-Jega (Vice Chairman, Central), Musa Dagwaya (Vice Chairman, South), and Jibril Muhammad (Vice Chairman, North).

The congress also produced Aliyu Komo as Financial Secretary, Sani Dododo as Publicity Secretary, and Garba Liman-Boma as Organising Secretary. Nura Bello was elected Legal Adviser, Rabi’atu Umar as Women Leader, and Abdullahi Muhammad-Bunza as Youth Leader and Auditor.
