Oshiomhole Donates Equipment to 300 Women, Youths in Edo North

Sen. Adams Oshiomhole (APC-Edo) on Monday donated hair dryers, sewing and grinding machines to 300 women and youths in his Edo North senatorial district.

Oshiomhole, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr Victor Oshioke, said the donations were aimed at providing beneficiaries with sources of income and enabling them to start their own businesses.

“Empowering the constituents will further enhance livelihoods and create sustainable opportunities for the people,” he said.

Oshiomhole added, “We are committed to your welfare through championing causes vital to the prosperity and well-being of Edo North. Today, we are distributing items to improve the well-being of our people. We will continue to strive for development and the betterment of our beloved constituency.”

The senator’s legislative aide, Adams Mumin, urged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the items, advising them not to sell the empowerment tools.

“Please don’t sell the empowerment tools and other materials, but try to make good use of them,” he said.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the lawmaker, noting that the donations would provide families with means of livelihood and reduce the need for begging.

“These empowerment tools are ladders that will change our lives for the better,” said Iyabo Musa and Abeni Raji, beneficiaries of the initiative.
