NYSC Urges Stakeholders to Boost Backing for Kaduna Camp

Kaduna State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Efeke Dadaza, has reiterated the scheme’s dedication to the welfare of corps members and called on the Kaduna State Government to provide enhanced support for the 2025 Batch C orientation camp.

Addressing participants at the swearing-in ceremony in Kaduna, Dadaza praised Governor Uba Sani for his consistent backing of NYSC initiatives, noting that his involvement reflects a strong commitment to the scheme’s goals and ongoing support for corps members.

She highlighted that the orientation program equips participants with leadership skills, lectures, drills, self-defence training, and language lessons, all aimed at improving communication and fostering cohesion during their national service assignments.

Dadaza further explained that the scheme provides corps members with vocational and entrepreneurship training to tackle unemployment, promote self-reliance, and enable meaningful contributions to society upon completion of their service year.

She commended the governor for donating a new JMC Hilux vehicle, inaugurating the NYSC governing board, and approving several renovation projects, including pavilion reconstruction, hall repairs, boreholes, solar lighting, and the provision of thousands of plastic chairs for camp use.

Appealing for additional support, Dadaza requested better feeding and stipends for corps members in Kaduna, as well as bunks and mattresses, emphasizing that sustained government assistance is vital for the effective execution of national duties.

The coordinator encouraged corps members to engage fully in all camp activities, reminding them that the NYSC rewards excellence, sanctions indiscipline, and expects participants to uphold diligence, commitment, patriotism, and respect for camp regulations.

Represented by Commissioner Gloria Ibrahim, Governor Uba Sani congratulated the corps members and assured them of the government’s continued commitment to their safety, urging them to demonstrate discipline, patriotism, and dedication to national unity throughout their service year.
