NLS Issues Warning Over Bogus Recruitment Platforms

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has alerted the public to fraudulent websites claiming to conduct recruitment into the Service.

In a statement released via its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, the NIS clarified that no independent recruitment exercise is currently ongoing.

The Service explained that the only legitimate recruitment process involving the NIS is being managed by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

Applicants and the general public were advised to rely exclusively on information provided through the official CDCFIB recruitment portal.

The NIS highlighted that all authentic updates regarding the recruitment process can be accessed at: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng

It warned that any other websites, links, or advertisements circulating outside the CDCFIB portal are unauthorised and should be ignored.

Job seekers were urged to exercise caution and avoid falling victim to scammers attempting to exploit the recruitment process for financial gain.

The NIS reaffirmed its commitment to accountability and transparency, advising the public to always confirm recruitment information through official government channels.
