NGICE LOC partners CTV to strengthen Nigeria-Germany investment ties

Abuja, May 29, 2026 — The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the Nigerian-German Investment and Cultural Expo (NGICE 2026) scheduled to hold in Berlin has entered into a partnership with Catholic Television of Nigeria (CTV) to boost global visibility for the event.

The agreement was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Abuja, where Amb. Chielo Ojirika, Coordinator of NGICE 2026 and Nigeria’s Cultural Ambassador to Germany, announced CTV as the official media partner of the expo.

Ojirika explained that the LOC, chaired by former Inspector-General of Police, Sir Mike Okiro, selected CTV to handle media coverage and promotion of the expo across global platforms.

He said the initiative is designed to project Nigeria’s cultural heritage, creativity and investment potential to an international audience, with Germany serving as a strategic showcase hub.

According to him, the collaboration also includes a strong focus on peace advocacy and the promotion of unity through cultural exchange.

He described CTV as a media organisation with a strong reputation for advancing peaceful coexistence and wide-reaching influence.

“With this partnership, all media activities around the expo will be coordinated by CTV to ensure global visibility,” he said.

He added that the collaboration reflects confidence in CTV’s capacity to amplify the objectives of the expo on a global scale.

Speaking on behalf of the Executive Managing Director of CTV, Rev. Fr. Victor Makinwa Ogunyemu, Deputy Managing Director (Administration), said the partnership presents a mutual opportunity for both organisations.

He noted that CTV would leverage its broad audience base to project the expo internationally and ensure it receives significant global attention.

Ogunyemu also expressed appreciation for the collaboration, describing it as a strong step toward strengthening cultural and investment relations between Nigeria and Germany.

Former Inspector-General of Police, Sir Mike Okiro, also welcomed the partnership, saying the LOC was confident in CTV’s ability to promote national unity and give the expo wider global appeal.

He said the Nigerian-German Investment and Cultural Expo is intended to present Nigeria positively to the world, and the involvement of CTV would enhance its international reach.
