The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Abubakar Wase, has urged troops of the 18 Brigade, Bida in Niger State, to remain professional in the discharge of their duties.

According to Lt.-Col. Shuaib Umar, Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, the charge was given during Wase’s maiden familiarisation visit to the Brigade Headquarters in Bida on Friday.

Umar explained that the GOC, who also serves as Commander, Sector 1 Joint Task Force Operation Whirl Punch, was warmly received by the Brigade Commander, Brig.-Gen. Ibrahim Gambari, before proceeding for a briefing at the Operations Room.
