Lagos ports receive 11 vessels with diesel and fresh fish

Eleven ships have arrived at Lagos’ Apapa, Tin-Can Island, and Lekki ports, carrying diesel, fresh fish, bulk sugar, bulk salt, bulk wheat, pallets, and various other cargo.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) reported this in its latest “Shipping Position” update issued on Tuesday.

The report indicated that an additional 31 vessels transporting petroleum products, food items, and other goods are expected to arrive at the Apapa, Lekki, and Tin-Can Island Ports between January 13 and January 27.

According to NPA, the expected cargo includes bulk wheat, bulk urea, aviation fuel, petrol, crude oil, bulk gypsum, general goods, and containers with assorted items.

Currently, 22 ships are at the ports unloading containers, diesel, bulk urea, gasoline, bulk wheat, crude oil, soya beans, bulk salt, fresh fish, bulk sugar, and bulk fertiliser, ensuring a steady flow of essential commodities into Lagos.
