Lagos APC Denies Report on Recall of LG Secretaries, Supervisors

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has dismissed reports alleging that its State Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, ordered the recall of all Secretaries to the Local Governments (SLGs) and supervisors to the party secretariat.

The party described the claim as false and misleading.

Lagos APC Spokesman, Mr Seye Oladejo, said in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos that the publication was aimed at creating unnecessary tension within the party and among the public.

“The Lagos State Chapter of the APC has been made aware of reports claiming that the State Chairman has recalled all SLGs and supervisors to Acme in connection with directives allegedly issued from the Villa.

“We wish to categorically state that this report is false, misleading, and clearly intended to create unnecessary tension within our party and among the public,” Oladejo said.

He stressed that the state chairman did not issue any such directive and that no emergency meeting had been scheduled as speculated.

According to him, the party remains disciplined and guided by due process and collective decision-making.

“Our primary focus at this critical time remains putting every necessary structure in place as we count down to the forthcoming national elections.

“We are fully committed to strengthening our internal processes and mobilising effectively to ensure continued progress and victory at the polls,” he said.

Oladejo advised party members and the public to refrain from spreading unverified information capable of heating up the polity, adding that the party would communicate any official updates through its recognised channels.
