Kano Gov. Yusuf Redeploys Attorney-General, Senior Civil Servants

Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has approved the redeployment of key officials, including the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery.

In a statement on Tuesday, the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, announced that Attorney-General Haruna Dederi has been moved to the Ministry of Transport. Mustapha Muhammad, the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Justice, was reassigned to the Ministry of Environment as Permanent Secretary.

Adamu Aliyu, Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, who had been overseeing the Ministry of Transport in an acting capacity, will return to his substantive post.

The governor directed all affected officials to hand over to the most senior officers in their respective ministries before the close of work on Tuesday.
Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to accountability, efficiency, and purposeful leadership, saying the reshuffle was aimed at maximizing capacity and aligning responsibilities for better results.
