Kano APC Leaders Unite Behind President Tinubu and Ganduje, Pledge Support for 2027 General Elections

Prominent stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State have expressed strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts in tackling Nigeria’s socio-economic issues through his Renewed Hope Agenda.

In a communiqué released following a high-level stakeholders’ meeting in Kano, the party leaders also praised former APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for his strategic role in strengthening the party’s structure nationwide.

The document, signed by the Kano State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, highlighted the collective resolve of party stalwarts to align with and promote the administration’s policies while working to ensure the party’s continued dominance in both the state and national political landscapes.

Commendations were extended to key party figures from Kano for their grassroots efforts, including Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin; Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Hon. Kabir Bichi; the 2023 gubernatorial flagbearer Dr. Nasiru Gawuna and his running mate Hon. Murtala Garo.

Others recognised for their impactful contributions included Senator Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream); Minister of State for the FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmud; and the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, alongside heads of federal agencies from the state.

According to the communiqué, the empowerment of youth and women, scholarship opportunities, and economic relief initiatives driven by these leaders have played a significant role in reinforcing the APC’s popularity at the grassroots level.

As the state prepares for the upcoming bye-elections slated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), party stakeholders affirmed their readiness to fully mobilise and secure victory in all contested constituencies.

The meeting concluded with a strong call for unity, discipline, and mutual respect among party members, noting that internal solidarity will be essential to securing a successful outing in the 2027 general elections. The leaders also pledged unwavering support for the party’s direction under Dr. Ganduje and reaffirmed their dedication to APC’s core principles and goals.
