INEC Calls For Collection of 360,794 Uncollected PVCs in Osun

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has urged residents of Osun State who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise to do so. INEC’s spokesperson in Osun, Musa Olurode, made the call in a statement on Tuesday, revealing that no fewer than 360,794 PVCs were still uncollected at the commission’s offices.

Olurode explained that the registration exercise offers a fresh opportunity for eligible voters to obtain their cards, stressing that the commission, under the leadership of Dr. Mutiu Agboke, is committed to ensuring every registered voter in the state has access to their PVCs. According to him, the cards will be available for collection at the 30 INEC local government offices across the state as well as the area office in Modakeke, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.

He further appealed to residents who have not previously registered to seize the opportunity to do so, while cautioning against multiple registrations, which he said would not only undermine the credibility of the electoral process but could also lead to disqualification.
