One person has been confirmed dead and another injured after a flash flood swept through parts of Logar province in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday night, the provincial government said in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, the disaster in Azra district destroyed five residential houses completely, while 10 others were partially damaged. At least 30 acres of farmland and several gardens were also badly affected.
The rainstorms triggered flooding in neighbouring Parwan province the same night, causing further damage to property, the statement added.
