Family Values Advocacy Film “The Guilt” Premieres in Abuja

A new faith-based movie titled “The Guilt”, which promotes the virtues of fidelity, forgiveness, and open communication in marriage, has officially premiered in Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the premiere, held over the weekend in the Federal Capital Territory, attracted filmmakers, actors, clergy, film enthusiasts, and members of the movie’s cast and crew.

Produced by Pauline Idemudia under Crystal Fly Productions and directed by award-winning Nollywood filmmaker Emmanuel Eyaba, the film explores how couples can navigate marital challenges — including infidelity, communication gaps, and past mistakes — through patience, faith, and humility.

The movie stars Nollywood veterans such as Zack Orji, Benjamin Olaye, Prisma James, Pauline Idemudia, Ezz Samson, and Evangelist Jerry, among others.

Speaking at the red-carpet event, several actors and crew members praised the film, describing it as timely and relevant in addressing the rising cases of marital conflicts.

Director Emmanuel Eyaba, who also serves as the Public Relations Officer of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), said the story was inspired by the need to help couples confront hidden issues that could threaten their relationships.

The Guilt portrays how secrets from the past can disrupt the present. It tells the story of a man haunted by his past until his wife helps him overcome it through love and understanding,” Eyaba explained.

He added that the movie will be available for viewing on YouTube from Nov. 2, encouraging audiences to watch and learn valuable lessons from its message.

Producer Pauline Idemudia said her goal was to use faith-based storytelling as a means of promoting spiritual growth and rebuilding moral values within families.

“This film is part of my mission to use creative media for evangelism and discipleship. The Guilt marks the debut production of Crystal Fly Productions, and it carries a powerful message about forgiveness and resilience,” she said.

Veteran filmmaker Sydney Diala commended the production, noting that it serves as more than just entertainment but as a valuable tool for improving communication and strengthening family bonds.

He described The Guilt as “a must-watch for couples and singles seeking to rebuild trust, deepen love, and embrace true forgiveness.”
