Eid-ul-Mawlid: Zamfara governor appeals for prayers to end insecurity

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has urged the Muslim faithful to dedicate the Eid-el-Maulud celebration to fervent prayers for peace and stability in the state and the nation at large.

The appeal was contained in his Maulud goodwill message released on Friday in Gusau through his Media Aide, Sulaiman Idris.

He extended warm felicitations to the Muslim community in Zamfara on the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, describing the occasion as a moment of spiritual renewal and reflection.

The governor explained that Muslims globally observe the Prophet’s birth on the 12th day of Rabiul Awwal, the third month of the Islamic Hijri year.

He further called on believers to model their lives after the Prophet’s virtues, pointing out that Islam embodies a holistic way of life built on values of justice, compassion, and integrity.

Lawal added that the Prophet’s guidance serves as a moral compass for individuals and societies, fostering unity and stronger communities.

He appealed to residents of Zamfara to remain committed in prayers for an end to insecurity in the state, the Northwest, and Nigeria as a whole.

The governor expressed hope that Almighty Allah would grant peace, wipe out criminality, and restore safety and progress across the country.
