The Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa, has appealed to Nigerians to strengthen unity and cooperation as the country continues to face security challenges.
In a statement released as part of his Eid-el-Kabir message through his Special Assistant on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, and circulated in Abuja, the minister called on citizens to reflect on the importance of sacrifice and collective responsibility in building a stronger nation.
He noted that national peace and development depend on shared commitment, urging Nigerians to set aside differences and work together toward a secure and united country.
Musa praised members of the Armed Forces for their courage and dedication in defending the nation and confronting criminal threats across various regions. He also expressed appreciation for their ongoing service in protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
While extending festive greetings, he reminded citizens to remember security personnel stationed in different operational areas, praying for their safety and success.
He reaffirmed the Defence Ministry’s commitment to improving troop welfare, logistics, and equipment to enhance ongoing security operations.
The minister further encouraged Nigerians to remain alert and cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities within their communities.
