Edo Government Warns Land Grabbers to Stay Off Coral City Project Site

The Edo State Government has issued a stern warning to land speculators and grabbers to stay off the Lot A parcel of land, popularly known as Coral City, located within the Obagie Acquisition area in Benin.

This was disclosed in a statement by Fred Itua, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Monday Okpebholo, on Wednesday in Benin.

According to the statement, the governor cautioned that anyone caught selling, buying, or developing land in the designated area would face the full weight of the law.

He reaffirmed that the entire Obagie Acquisition (Lot A) remains the property of the state government.

Okpebholo warned that all structures illegally erected in Lot A would be demolished and those involved prosecuted.

He also noted that the government was making arrangements to return Lots B, C, and D of the Obagie Acquisition to their rightful owners and occupants, as previously promised.

The governor stressed that this announcement serves as a final notice to all individuals encroaching on government-acquired lands in Lot A and other parts of the state.
