Controversial social media influencer, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has disclosed that music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, is the mystery donor behind the N100 million contribution to his newly established Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).
VDM shared the news on October 17 through his verified Instagram account, expressing both surprise and deep gratitude for the donation
Earlier, Verydarkman had raised concerns after receiving the anonymous N100 million donation, which brought the total balance in his NGO account to N170 million.
VeryDarkMan, who announced that the NGO would focus on community development and improving public schools, initially raised a concern in a video on his Instagram account, questioning the large deposit and requesting an investigation by Zenith Bank.
“@zenithbankplc please investigate my NGO account, I don’t know what is going on, hope im not being set up….I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD) Nigerians bare me witness I don’t know what’s up with the account,” he posted.
However, in a new video released on Thursday, VeryDarkMan confirmed that Don Jazzy had reached out to inform him that he made the donation to support the cause.
he message read, “Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send 100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. E no easy.”
Still in disbelief, VeryDarkMan shared a video where he displayed the message and the receipt of the transaction.
He expressed deep gratitude for Don Jazzy’s generosity, noting that he never expected such a large sum from the music mogul.
VDM explained that the NGO was established to support children in public primary schools who lack access to quality teachers.
