Diana-Emi FC Secures Libra Motors Partnership, Eyes FA Cup Qualification

Imo-based football side Diana-Emi FC has entered into a sponsorship agreement with Libra Motors, marking a new step in the club’s development plans.

The club’s proprietor, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, announced the partnership on Wednesday during a ceremony held at the Imo Football Association office in Owerri.

Ekwueme, a former Super Eagles midfielder, said the deal includes logistical support, with the company providing transportation for the team’s matches and official activities.

He also praised the leadership of the Imo FA Chairman, Ifeanyi Dike, describing it as transparent and supportive of football growth in the state.

The club, according to him, is preparing to feature in the next edition of the FA Cup as part of its competitive ambitions.

As part of his contribution, Ekwueme presented 10 match balls and 30 branded caps to the Imo FA.

He added that the club remains committed to nurturing grassroots talent through the Ifeanyi Ekwueme Football Academy and contributing to the broader development of football.

Speaking at the event, the South-East Regional Manager of Libra Transport, Emmanuel Okereke, affirmed the company’s commitment to supporting sports initiatives through the partnership.

In his remarks, Dike expressed appreciation for the gesture and encouraged other stakeholders to invest in football development within the state.

The partnership is expected to strengthen the club’s operations as it works toward greater participation in national competitions.
