The City Boy Movement (CBM) has announced a strategic partnership with the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (PiCNG) to advance inclusive, grassroots-focused development in support of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
CBM Director-General Francis Shoga disclosed the partnership during a courtesy visit to PiCNG Executive Chairman/CEO Ismaeel Ahmed in Abuja. Shoga said CBM would lead a bottom-up adoption strategy, ensuring that CNG-related opportunities, training, and infrastructure reach communities across Nigeria, both urban and rural.
“The collaboration aligns with CBM’s mandate to mobilise citizens at the grassroots, promote government policies, empower communities economically, and foster national unity,” Shoga said. He described the PiCNG programme as a transformative national initiative capable of reducing unemployment, stimulating economic growth, and advancing environmental sustainability.
“The PiCNG initiative, rooted in the Renewed Hope Agenda, promotes widespread adoption of CNG, saves costs, creates jobs, and supports national priorities on sustainable transport, emission reduction, gas-flaring mitigation, and broad-based economic growth,” he added.
In response, PiCNG CEO Ismaeel Ahmed affirmed the organisation’s readiness to work closely with CBM, describing the partnership as a vital link between federal initiatives and local communities. Ahmed noted that joint efforts would strengthen public awareness, grassroots mobilisation, and nationwide education on the economic and environmental benefits of CNG, ensuring Nigerians fully participate in and benefit from the emerging gas-powered economy.
The City Boy Movement is a Nigerian socio-political youth organisation dedicated to empowering youths, promoting national unity, and supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda through financial aid, skills development, scholarships, and political mobilisation.
