The Nollywood films Call of My Life and Iwe Ala have continued their strong run at the box office, highlighting the increasing popularity of locally produced movies among cinema audiences.
Film distributor FilmOne Entertainment announced on Wednesday that Call of My Life has surpassed N574 million in total earnings, maintaining the top spot at the weekend box office for five consecutive weeks.
The company further disclosed that the film has climbed to the seventh position on the list of highest-grossing Nollywood productions of all time, marking a significant achievement in its theatrical performance.
FilmOne also thanked moviegoers for their support throughout the film’s run, noting the sustained audience turnout across West Africa.
“Call of My Life has crossed N574m at the box office, with new records still being set. It has now become the seventh highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time and has held the number one weekend spot for five straight weeks. We appreciate West Africa for the overwhelming support,” the distributor said.
In contrast, Iwe Ala finished second at the weekend box office, earning N21.7 million and continuing to draw steady patronage in cinemas nationwide.
Both films remain on screens across the country, reflecting ongoing audience interest in Nigerian cinema.
Industry observers say the strong performance of these titles points to growing consumer confidence in Nollywood, driven by improved storytelling, higher production standards, and expanding cinema culture.
