Afrobeats singer Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, professionally known as Ayra Starr, has achieved a UK Silver certification for her hit single “Bloody Samaritan”.
The certification was awarded by the British Phonographic Industry, which recognises strong commercial performance in the United Kingdom music market.
Released in 2021, the track appears on her debut project 19 & Dangerous, under Mavin Records.
The achievement adds to a growing list of Nigerian artistes who have attained similar recognition in the UK, including Burna Boy, Asake, Wizkid, and Davido, as well as artists like Tems, Omah Lay, Rema and CKay.
Their certifications span projects such as African Giant, Twice as Tall, Made in Lagos, Timeless, Born in the Wild, Boy Alone, Rave & Roses and the global hit “Love Nwantiti”.
The milestone highlights the sustained international success and growing influence of Nigerian music on global charts.
