APC Tells Ebonyi ADC to Resolve Internal Crisis Ahead of 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State has called on the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to focus on resolving its internal disputes rather than blaming other parties for its challenges.

Speaking in Abakaliki on Friday, the APC State Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha, dismissed claims by a factional ADC leader that the ruling party was uneasy about the opposition’s prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued through his media aide, Chijioke Agwu, Okoro-Emegha said the APC had no reason to be concerned about a party grappling with leadership divisions. He pointed out that the ADC recently conducted parallel state congresses, resulting in the emergence of two factional chairmen.

According to him, the ADC should channel its energy into addressing its internal disagreements instead of targeting the APC in its public remarks about the upcoming elections.

He emphasized that the APC in Ebonyi remains united under a single, widely recognized leadership, which he described as a sign of readiness for future electoral contests.

Okoro-Emegha also expressed confidence in the continued support of Ebonyi residents for Governor Francis Nwifuru and the APC, stating that the administration’s performance and cohesion would be reflected at the polls in 2027.

He added that the party’s achievements, popularity, and internal unity were evident and required no further validation.
